Chronometer running 24/7?
Hello all-
About to buy an Omega Speedmaster, and have some questions in regards to the chronometer (large looking second hand that can stay off or be pushed on). Can I let it run all the time? I was thinking I’d just let it run while awake, but then push it off when I go to sleep. It will be a co-axial movement. Any thoughts or concerns on the matter would be appreciated. Thank you!

Sure, you can let it run.
The function you refer to is named "chronograph", and not chronometer. "Chronometer" refers to a watch or clock capable of tracking time with extraordinary precision, while "chronograph" translates to "time writer", and is commonly known as a stopwatch. |
