Omega Speedmaster 38mm

Hello,

I am considering the purchase of Speedmaster 38mm. The reason I am leaning toward this model is because I have a very small wrist, 6.5 inches at the largest. Does anyone have any views or information on this watch. I will probably pick this up new because I have not found any preowned, being sold by a trusted seller. Any information would be appreciated. The only thing that I wish was different would be the shape of the bezel. However that is not a reason for me not to purchase the watch.

Thanks in advance for any and all advise.

I have a 6 1/3 in wrist and the watch sits perfectly. I put it on a rally strap and it's a good look. Another thing I appreciate is the Hesalite crystal - the "smokiness" of it is definitely a benefit.

Recently I tried the Professional Moonwatch at the boutique and was surprised at how well it fits on my wrist also. This is why I will be purchasing the professional version in the future.

Seamster 38mm

Hi 7Ken,

Thank you for the reply. By any chance do you have the Speedmaster 38mm Co-Axial version? I read on the Omega site that watch has the sapphire crystal as opposed to the hersalite crystal. If not have you had a chance to see the co-axial version and if so what do you think about it? I have not seen the Speedmaster 60th anniversary yet but the size 38.5mm in interesting. Thanks again.

I'm not a fan of the new 38mm Speedmasters...wife considered the cappuccino with diamonds ...similar conclusion to myself...thick and not well balanced....in addition I prefer more classic designs. I have a small wrist also at 6.375". Here are pictures of a professional and fois on my wrist for your reference...I think they wear quite well:

Can you tell me what strap that is on the FOIS? Looks great!

Hi there. I tried to find my receipt but couldn't...so no item number. It is a standard strap Omega offers that's a dark brown alligator which fits an Omega deployant for 19mm lug width. Go to a local boutique and they can order it for you...I ordered the shorter version of the strap due to having smaller wrist also.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the FOIS which is billed as 39mm basically the same size as the Professional minus the crown guards and with 19mm lug width versus 20mm?
I've seen many pictures of Pro's and various LE's next to each other and they basically look the same.

This would be correct.

Was showing op these case options on small wrist like mine.
