Picked up the GS Peacock...

I got the Peacock today, it's absolutely beautiful in all aspects but...

The only downside for me it is so THICK!! Not as thick as Omega POs but still for a 40mm watch it's thick (14.4mm)

I was hoping it would be able to replace the Rolex GMT but wearing them one after the other I don't think it can. The Rolex wears more comfortably for me and slips under my shirt sleeves better.

What do I do...

Congratulations! I just picked up a Peacock myself. Loved it so much that I picked up another Grand Seiko GMT. Just too good. Enjoy yours

It’s just the GS style. No idea why they love that thick case look so much. But honestly, after wearing it a couple of days, you don’t really notice the height.

Weird - I haven't found mine thick at all, but I'm wear mostly sporty watches e.g. SubC, Pelagos, Speedmaster, etc. Sorry it didn't work out for you, but I'm sure you'll love the snowflake as well.

The seller is ok with that. In the UK if you buy through post you have 14 days to change your mind as long as the item is unused. I looked at it for a couple of days and tried to get used to the thickness but decided against it in the end.
With reference to madgraf I wear sports watches mostly too but still found the peacock sat too high. Which speed master do you have? I returned the dsotm for the same reason. I have the Tudor 79220n and even though it looks thick it wears flat on me.

Glad you can do that. Others can chime in, but I don’t think that you can take the stickers off, wear it and return it to the AD in the USA and trade it in, unless you previously bought a boatload of Pateks. Unless you just looked at it and didn’t wear it. But still not sure a US AD would be excited to swap out. Great that UK has better consumer policies.

Got the Snowflake today. I love it! There's so much to look at in detail but I'm at work so no chance to admire it fully. It wears so light which for some members its a negative but I really like it, it's almost you don't know its there! The dial is so impressive in reality, I won't take photos as another member on another thread has done such an impressive job of it but in reality its even better! The bracelet is absolutely fine! I don't understand the talk of it being cheap other than because it is light but then it's titanium! And pins but that's because of the nature of the metal.
It's my first foray into GS but it won't be my last. I have to say though that this is the only model that has given me any feeling? The others that I have seen in the store are a bit cold and while very well finished a bit clinical.

Congrats. I'm debating between the snowflake and peacock... or just saving to splurge on a BLNR.

Isn't the peacock 14.4mm thick whereas the speedy is 14.3mm? Seems like a negligible difference.

Yes, I don't like the Speedmaster either (Shock horror!!!)
For me it feels dated, I personally don't like manual movements and it's too thick.
I would really like the Peacock if it wasn't for the thickness however I love the Snowflake, I find myself looking at the seconds hand a lot...

I recently picked up a GS Peacock as well. On my 6.5ish" wrist it wears fine, but if my wrists were any smaller then the height of the watch would become a factor. With that said it would be great if the case was 2mm thinner. Before picking up the Peacock I did try on the Snowflake, but it didn't speak to me as did the Peacock's case design.

I recently saw the Blue Peacock ( a Japan Wako exclusive ) and fell in love with it. Unfortunately, it's not available for purchase immediately and have to waitlist.
