how to use warranty when bought through trusted seller?

just curious guys, mods please move if it needs to go somewhere else.

say i bought a watch through a very liked trusted seller. bnib with my name on the papers. say something happened to the watch fairly quick. couple mo.
how would one go about getting it taken care of under warranty?

no, this did not happen to me. just a hypothetical question since im planning on buying like this. i just want to make sure its not an issue using the factory warranty or getting it serviced when i paid so much $ for a watch.

since ive only ever bought at an ad i dont know..

thanks.

If it has your name on the card, you should have nothing to worry about but NEVER mention to Rolex that you didn't get it from an authorised dealer or they may not honour it.

Sure, but if it's stamped / marked by the dealer and has your name on it, I doubt they take the time to call them up and say "Hey did you sell this to so and so?". I could be wrong...

I purchased mine just as you have and had my watch serviced at the NY RSC. I showed them my name on the warranty card and had no issue at all!!

I've taken watches with the original buyer's name on card to RSCny. No problem what so ever as long as its in warranty period.

Fyi if you cross out the original name on the warranty card, it voids the warranty!

If it is a valid warranty you would use it the same way that you use any other warranty..

If it is not valid, the RSC will let you know..
