Men's watch from the 50's. Calibre 1210 mvt. pretty sure.

Dial is refinished badly and stylistically has very little to do with that watch.

It has value, but not as much as if it were all original. I would say $900-1100us in the secondary market due to its condition and having a bracelet which is 1/3 of that price. A Speedking dial is what you need. At that price range it would allow someone to hopefully source a replacement original dial. That is, if they can find one.

Post clear pics of the opened clasp on the bracelet (both sides) so that we can read the date code. Also, you can pop off the spring bars on the bracelet and it will reveal the serial number between the lugs on the case. That will tell us pretty much its year of production. Im guessing late 50s due to the daphne hands and the rivet bracelet. Most likely the bracelet is from the 60s.

The lugs are quite short and the end link is dinged and bent; not to mention that dial.
I don't think a watch that needs so much work to make it right would be a great starter Rolex. More like a money pit PIA.

Actually Rolex Oyster Precision dial is what he needs but not the 34mm version.

When something has too much to apologize about it might be better to look into parting it out. Especially when you are talking about putting it on ebay where a buyer can cause you so much heartburn.

Be careful with Bobs. The offer online and what they actually pay once they receive it and inspect it are two different things.
