Datejust 1601 - Rare Dial?

Hello,
This is my first Rolex Forum post and I would like to say Hello to everyone who is going to read me

If there any specific place for introducing oneself, I may have miss a step, so please let me know!

Back to business...
I recently ran into this 1972 DJ [1601-1570 with bezel, hands and sticks in white gold] and I would like to know if anyone had ever seen such a dial?

Thanks for your feedback :)

The gray dial with white is less common than silver or champagne but not rare.

Congrats, you're my first reply
I fully agree...

An older style but again not rare. Would it be possible to get some macros of the dial? The lume is very white and the gray looks a bit purple in those pics. How many links are on that bracelet? 22 is a full bracelet.

The lume are still intact (not functional) on the track.
You right, the dial faded from grey to "purplish"...
The bracelet is not original (too distorted)!
I'll take some macro shots.

Looks a nice example but as Richard said grey is less common but not rare. It does look a more purple in the photo tho. FYI here's my 1601 with grey & black & no lume

Nice one Adam :)
You seem to like two tones. Am I right?
Mine really turned to soft purple.
What year is yours?

Thanks . It's a grey dial, white gold bezel, a steel jubilee year 1973. Not a two tone it might be the photo. Try this one ha ha. 1601 imo are a classic
