My new Datejust!
Hey all.
I finally bought myself a new watch, and went with this: I want to thank everyone who participated in the poll about Jubilee vs. Oyster bracelets. I had originally thought the Oyster, then switched to the Jubilee, but decided the Oyster is more versatile. And the Jubilee does look better with a fluted bezel. I want to brag on myself for a moment here; The store manager asked if I wanted to buy an extra link, or just use the Easylink opened for better comfort. I asked if he could move the bracelet back to the last notch, and he admitted that he didn't have the right tools to do this, and didn't want to scratch the watch trying it with what he had. He offered to take it to Rolex and have them do it. I decided to leave it as is, and use the easylink. I wore it for a couple of hours, and decided I didn't want to leave the easylink open all the time, so when I got home, I took my loupe, my smallest Bergeon driver, and went at it. I manged to move the bracelet to the last notch without a single scratch, or any damage to the bracelet. I know that there are people here to do more than this on a daily basis--Jocke comes to mind--as well as professional watch repairers like Minuteman and Rikki. But for me this was a huge accomplishment, since I never have any luck with springbars. I think it's also a testament to Rolex design. The fit and finish on this watch is really incredible. All-in-all, I'm very pleased with this watch, and I'm happy that I finally bought myself something special. I just hope it doesn't become a habit |

Very nice and congratulations. I have been eyeing that particular combo for some time. If I go 36mm DJ, the smooth bezel, oyster, sticks win!
