What kind of resource are not chrono24.se a trusted site and the clockshops also honest on that site ? Offcourse i try to find a watch with papers and box in orginal. I just like the clock with stones and because they are little bit rarer and somewhat more custommade they maybe lose value more fast then other watches , but then again they are little old already from the 80´s and 90´s.

Best regards

Realistically its a ~$2,500 watch. Not very collectible but you should always be able to get close to 2 grand out of it. The stone dials command a few hundred dollar premium over a standard model.

Buy what you want to be wearing. Buying and selling the right pieces for a profit takes experience. There are much better ways of making money grow than time pieces

Hi no i dont buy to make money i just want to know what to expect its an old watch and not so common maybe with stones as decoration so i would be happy if it dont loose to mutch in value if i have it like 3-5 years and then trade it for a more expensive Rolex. Do you have any guess will it lose 25 percent in value less ? more ?

Best regards

The watches you're looking at will not appreciate quickly in 3-5 years. They are not marquee Rolex vintage that collectors are willing to pay top dollar, that would insulate you if there is a globally impacted recession that would affect all markets (stocks, real estate, collectibles, luxury goods, etc). You can take a big hit at that point.

Assuming markets stay the same, and you buy at retail prices and you try to flip back to a dealer...I wouldn't be surprised if you take a 10-25% loss.

Dealers will try to make money on both sides of the sale. You can try to sell private, but will be much harder given so many private parties selling fakes.

if you buyvintage rolexes with the intend to make 25% in a few years you could be in the wrong segment...

Buy because you like to wear...
