How many Sub ref 6204's exist today?

I've read that 6204s case numbers start around 940,000 and end at 60,000 whereby rolex started again at 999,999. Making 120,000 total made.

Does anyone know how (if there is any number) how many fall out of circulation each year and how many there might be right now?

Thanks in advance!

Wait. Don't Rolex serial numbers cover all the watches they made? In other words, that 120,000 isn't the amount of just 6204s, but rather all models made in that period. Making it so that no two Rolex models can have the same serial number.

You have 120.000 Rolex oyster case watches made between those numbers. How many of those that are 6204s is anyone's guess. Rolex most likely knows but wont tell. I have heard rumors of one or two persons actually having copies of the production lists but I have never seen them.

You have misunderstood the numbering system, which does indeed cover ALL watches made and not the 6204s alone.

I would suggest the survivors could now be counted in hundreds and most of course with many parts lost or exchanged by now.

Thanks all! Still learning with much to learn still. Didn't even think about the other models. Thanks again!
