Understatement - my new vintage DD

I was looking a long time for a really good whitegold 1803 Daydate, but no chance.

I Vintage watchfriend from germany send me a lot of pics .... and YES, this the one I'm looking for.

- perfect condition
- a really rare no lume dial
- a presidental bracelet with very little stretch
- all in all, my new watch

No lume on the dial or the hands, Id have to say that I've never seen that before.

It's the black version of this dial: https://www.hqmilton.com/timepieces/...in-arabic-9719

The "doorstop" dial was also without lume on the hands/dial: https://www.hqmilton.com/timepieces/...date-1803-6832

One was for sale here on TRF a few years ago, albeit with lume on the hands: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=437761

Same for me. Is it possible the hands were replaced? The dial clearly indicates T SWISS T.

Great watch as you say they are difficult to find in anything like good condition - hope you enjoy the "Day-Date" experience.

The one on this site has lumed hands. I was referring to dials and hands that are not lumed. No need to beat this up, I was just commenting that it wasn't anything that I had noticed before. Of course I'm far from being a vintage Day-Date aficionado - I've only owned four or five in my 45 years of collecting.

No worries. The above was more to point out that they're out there, although HQM might not be the best choice in reference points.

Yes, they existed
some dial without lume has the T Swiss T" marks and the dash between Oyster Perpetual

Got it...had replied before seeing that. It is an oddity of course but not the first time we have seen that in Rolex history.

No worries. I'm used to forums that have new content alerts. Nothing meant by it.

Beautiful watch. I know there were no lume Datejust models (dial and hands) as I had a Wideboy no-lume still with ‘t swiss t’ on dial. I haven’t seen a DayDate like this, but it seems from the posts above they existed.

Beautiful. Are the WG 1803s more popular in Germany? Seems like every time I see a real nice example it has a German day wheel (which I like anyway!)

Wow this is really beautiful day date especially with the full bracelet.

Mine say hi and happy to see another white gold day date fan in TRF. I like the bracelet and the big logo clasp on my 1803. Cheers
