Quick Question on Tudor Sub 9411/0
Hello, All:
I have the opportunity to purchase a Tudor Submariner 9411/0 and the serial number (which is 79XXXXX) dates it to 1973. Were the 9411/0's produced as early as 1973? The literature out there can go either way (some articles say they started making them as early as 1973-1974 and other state that they went into production in 1975). Just wanted to make sure I'm getting into something legit. Thanks, all! |

Don’t have a picture with the serial. I was however, shown the serial number on a FaceTime chat I did with the seller.

You have 1 too many X’s in your partial serial, which if correct is complete off. Either way 79XXXX is too early for a 9411/0

Thanks for all the responses. I’ve been continuing to do a bit of research myself and I thought to look at past sales by Lunar Oyster (a very active member of this forum and WUS) as I know for a fact that he has sold several 9411/0 references. Turns out these were produced as early as 1973. See links below.

A graphical representation would go a long way in getting nice opinions from us.

This is the only one I took before she went in for a service. I'll take more when I get her back.
