Icon20 Unwanted submariner date 111610ln

I am new to this forum. Hence my question.

I have been on the Rolex AD waiting list for approximately 2 years. Other day get a call to say the watch has finally arrive -really excited . Problem I waited so long I ended up purchasing another watch.

Do I tell the AD Rolex no thanks?

Do I go ahead buy it, then resell it & use the premium to fund a future purchase?

You should either buy it and enjoy the watch, or help someone else by giving up on the watch.

Hello.

If you don't want the watch, it would be amazing if you would somehow be able to get the AD to sell the watch to me because I live near London and have been quoted years for any sub or GMT-thats even if they take my name down. I'm a teenager looking to buy my first Rolex so have no prior relationship with any AD hence my difficulty of obtaining a professional model (my family aren't into watches so have never bought any watches thus no relationship :( ). As you say, you could buy it just to sell at a profit but it would be a wonderful gesture to let someone like me be able to buy it as I would enjoy it in rotation with my omega and have no intentions to ever sell it!
