Omega Seamaster Ploprof. Anyone has one? Thoughts?

I really like the look of big watches and right now I have a Breitling Super Avenger 2 (48mm), a Panerai Pam 90 (44mm) and a Rolex Submariner Bluesy (40mm). I really love the unique look of the Ploprof date especially with the white band. Any thoughts?

I own one with a mesh bracelet & rubber strap. Ploprof is huge, but strangely appears smaller on a wrist. It's heavy, if you wear it on rubber strap you're fine. It absolutely has wrist-presence.

I like watches that DONT fly under the radar and call attention to themselves so I like big, bold styles that dont look like the Invictas that every other guy is wearing.

I think for a novelty it's great. If you have flip-itis, I wouldn't recommend it...

I have the white dial Ploprof with "Shark Cage" mesh bracelet and love it.......its my daily wearer!!! Its obviously a polarizing watch among enthusiasts..........one tends to either hate it or love it.....no in between.

I love the Ploprof and in my opinion it’s the coolest dive watch ever made. I would get it in black and buy it slightly used, to benefit from the huge depreciation it has.

I always loved vintage Ploprof 166.077. Modern ones not so much. This particular model in white never. But if you like it go ahead.

I have the black and swap out the shark mesh for orange rubber sometimes. It is a wonderful piece. The clasp is a work of art. Its a big watch but amazingly comfortable. I wear it as a daily with no issues.

The heavy clasp somehow offsets the watch so it sits nicely without flopping around.

I love it so much I have often considered buying the white one too!

i didn’t even notice it was a no date to be honest, was trying on at omega boutique. (No discount offered) Seems the no date is a 2015 model.

Inside the 2015 Omega Seamaster Ploprof 1200M Co-Axial Master Chronometer watch is the Omega in-house made caliber 8912 automatic movement. This is the “no date” version of the 8900 and operates at 3.5Hz with a power reserve of 60 hours

What makes it so difficult - the bezel lock?

The date is on the older SS models. The new titanium models are no date.

Love it. I'm considering one at the moment, trying to decide between the 8500 or the 8912. Will have to wait to see how the Ti looks in person. I wouldn't go with the white one though.

Love the white and orange together. Wouldn't pay retail, but would be a buyer at a good price!

I had the stainless version on mesh with the date, updated version has no date.

It was a fun watch, and wore smaller than it looked. The bezel was a pain to actually use, that button is more novelty than practical to use, especially one handed.

I'm not a fan of the white on white rubber, but on mesh it might look good. Just be aware that the clasp is amazing, but also thick as hell and was uncomfortable for me to wear at my desk, it was far thicker than any other clasp I've ever owned.

The two tones look cool-but not much gold for the price difference.
