Piaget Incoming!

I’ve posted a few threads over the last several months looking for feedback on various dress pieces. I really appreciated all the feedback and it definitely helped me along the way. I was very close to pulling the trigger on a Breguet classique but it just didn’t fit me as well in person as I’d hoped. It wasn’t the size, but I just knew when I tried it on that it wasn’t for me.

I’ve been a Piaget fan since I got into watches, don’t ask me why, I just always had a deep respect and admiration for the brand. A few years ago they came out with the altiplano Chrono and I fell in love. Thinnest manual flyback chrono, full in-house movement from a brand that started out only making movements.

I know Piaget isn’t for everyone and rarely does it get the recognition (I think) it deserves, but for an understated blend of classic and contemporary this one really fits my personality. Hope you all enjoy it! (And please pardon the stickers! Didn’t even realize they were on until I got home )

Congrats! Very nice looking piece. Piaget makes some really interesting, super thin watches. How they pack all that in such thin movements is pretty amazing.

One of these days I’ll get an Altiplano 900p and join you in the Piaget club.

Enjoy!

Very cool watch. You should do a review after a few months of daily wear!

Very nice. Being thin it must be super comfortable.

Nice watch.

I was in the Piaget boutique on Bond Street recently. Some amazing time pieces. And the folks in there were super helpful.

And voila the minute repeater!!!

Awesome pics! the minute repeater would be something to behold, the Altiplano line was what really drew me in, but the Emperador case is really beautiful, especially in person.

Thanks everyone for the kind words, I really like Piaget, it's definitely understated which I like even more. Feels like a lot in the watch community don't spend the time on Piaget, which I assume is due to the jewelry side of the business. Regardless, they got their start in movements and continue to push the envelope on in-house development, some really impressive technical accomplishments.

Sorry for the delay on new pics, I've been traveling basically since I picked up the watch, will post some pics this weekend. I don't think there's much of a Piaget following on TRF, but will definitely put up a review in a few months for anyone interested (trying to spread the word on Piaget!). Thanks again all!

That's a very nice watch. As you state, it's a wonderful "understated blend of classic and contemporary" that will always be in style.

Appreciate photos and a review. Thanks.

Next to my JLC MUT QP the Piaget pieces were like cheese slices next to the slice of bread!!!

I did not see any of the usual grand complications on the Piaget ultra thins though. That’s where AP, PP, VC and JLC are leading the way. (Not forgetting the awesome Bulgari).
