Bringing rolex(s) back from Mexico?
Hi everyone. Thanks for the help ahead of time. I’m traveling to Mexico next week and may want to bring back one maybe two rolexes. From what I understand, rolex USA allows for the importation of one rolex back into the USA. Does anyone know if this is per individual or household? For instance, if I put one in my name and one in my wife’s name, is that ok?

I would assume per person, if even brought up. Have fun!

How would Rolex USA know? Just a name goes on the warranty card. I think you are thinking to much about it. Just buy it, wear it, and enjoy it.

Buy as many as you can. I don't think it is Rolex who allows importing watches but the customs agency. I almost always only bring one.

You are only allowed $800 per person custom duty free per person in family. If two of you should be total $1600 allowance. Over that they go by very complicated tariff system for imports that varies with movement, bracelet etc. usually works out 3-4% custom tax over your allowance. You should be able to get 8.9% Mexican vat refund after company that processes takes their cut.
Sometimes Better off buying in us at and for discount and mail out of stare if you have 2nd home. |

Rolex USA could care less how many you bring but us customs if different story. I would not try to hide box etc . Not worth 4 times penalty or confiscation.

The coyote might require one as payment for safe passage.
