I'm not a fan of GMT watches and the SD43 is too large for my wrists so if I wanted that Daytona I would flip those. Thing is I'm not a Daytona fan either so I wouldn't trade anyway

I wonder how many of those saying absolutely no have owned a PM Daytona? I have, Seth does as does Chadri. There’s something very special about them that a green sub or a blue GMT can’t match.

I haven't, but I've tried them on (Platona & rose gold, bracelet, and black dial) and yes they feel nice and I appreciate the craftsmanship, but I don't like chronographs hence I wouldn't flip.

Not a chance I would trade both.
I would trade the LVc plus more cash and keep the BLNR and SD43 though. Daytona on oyster flex is overrated and overpriced IMO. |

I agree with what you're saying. Comparing SS watches to gold or platinum watches is hard to sell. 2 or 3 of one doesn't equal 1 of the other, except in dollars. |

It's a beautiful watch. Actually my favorite of all the Oysterflex Daytonas but I wouldn't do this deal. Who knows what will happen with the LVc price wise and the BLNR is such a versatile and useful watch. The 116519 is pretty pricey for a gold Rolex without a metal bracelet. If it will make you happier then do it, but I think you have 3 very cool watches right now. I would save and add the Daytona later on. Gold pieces tend to drop in price. While it's really, really hot right now, it will be cheaper in a couple of years.

For sure they're special. IMO the gold versions of all the sports watches beat the SS ones hands down no question. I especially love the pink dial 116505 that Roger Federer is currently wearing during the Australian Open. It looks stunning, but as far as functionality the BLNR is just more practical as is the LVc. In the end, it's a decision only he can make.

Personally I'm not a fan of the 116519LN, but it's what you like that counts. Don't rush into it as an impulse purchase and visit your Daytona a few times at the AD. The LVc and BLNR are very desirable and hard to replace watches and you picked them (and still wear them) for a reason. I understand the the alure of PM, but not so much rubber straps on a Rolex. Just sayin' to consider your reasons carefully. Good luck. Cheers!

Again , thanks for all the comments and opinions . Much appreciated.
Just for the record. I am planning to wait a while before doing anything. And i will probably keep the Blnr. Need the Pm price to come down a bit, which it will. And I'm waiting to see what happens to LVc. Green is nice , but that Pm Daytona is the Nuts . Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk |

Hello guys. I have just put the trigger on a new WG Daytona on Oysterflex. Sold a Bluesy and a Rhodium Dial Datejust 41 in order to get this one. This Daytona looks and feels fantastic on the wrist.
My opinion, sell sd43 and blnr but keep the lvc and buy this Daytona. It's simply stunning! |

While I would have prefered the Daytona PM to be on bracelet, it's still a stunning watch and while you have two obviously desired SS models, trading in for that 1 PM model you love makes a lot of sense.

I would get rid of the sd and get the Daytona. Blnr, hulk, and Daytona would be my ultimate trio.

you don't say how much cash you'd have to pay.
i'd say pass. if you want the daytona save your $ and buy it in a few years for less money. |
