New Rolex day date?

Hi there am I right in thinking the dd40 was launched in 2015? I am considering getting one in gold. How often do Rolex usually update their watches do you think this will be around for another 5 years or so without any changes to their day date range?
Thank you

In the past 4 or 5 decades there have been 3 daydate models, the 36mm still widely sold, the DDII 41mm from 2008 to 2015/16, and from 2016 the 40mm with the new movement.

As the other reply said, other than new dials it is most unlikely Rolex will release any changes or new models.

But as is frequently said here, only Rolex knows for sure.
