Question for Platona owners...

In the 7 years I wore my TT Subc, not one single time did the lock for the clasp open. I’ve had my Platona for 4 months now and on 3 separate occasions the locking clasp is open when I’ve rolled up my sleeves or taken off my jacket. It doesn’t feel really loose but it also doesn’t feel as strong as my Subc. I’m not really worried, worst case I’ll send it in for warranty service in a few months when Rolex opens back up. Has anyone else with a Platona has anything similar?

That’s interesting.

When I had just gotten my Datejust, the clasp opened on me once.

And I kind of freaked out, and was nervous about it opening randomly.

But it’s been over a year now and it never happened again.

I’ve taken my watch running, swimming, hiking, to the gym...

And it’s never opened by itself again

You mean the fold-over clasp and the clasp were opened unintentionally? very surprising.

The bracelet has never come undone. Just the food over locking clasp has opened a few times

None that I recall. It snaps shut authoritatively. Maybe worth having it adjusted.

Quite easy to do, put some protective plastic on the side of the safety catch & carefully hit it with a wooden hammer, do both sides until it locks perfectly but do it very carefully and when the clasp is closed only.

For my brief ownership of the Platinum Daytona I did not have any issues. I have had a few Rolex's over the years that did though. A slight clasp adjust from my AD and I was good to go.

I have never had that issue in almost five years of ownership, I believe it just needs an adjustment.

Can you post a quick video or pictorial? It's difficult understanding which parts of the clasp you're referring to.

while I'm not hesitant to do mist things myself, I prefer that this gets adjusted by a professional... for those that asked, its the fold over clasp lock that sometimes is open...

Micro engineering, is a complete world of wonder and magic to me.
My engineering experience is based more around 40 or 50mm steel plate, destined for the bottom of the North Sea.
So I'm probably completely 'out of order' in asking if you could adjust
that clasp by incrementally 'squeezing' (gently) with a small G-Clamp, suitably 'masked' with tape etc.
Just thinking that you might have a little more control.
Not everyone would have your watchmakers 'finesse' with a mallet.
