Lee what I love about the older 34 mm Air Kings is the under the radar if you will about them. They are a Rolex but it is not obvious. However and this is my personal opinion they are eye catching gorgeous but chill. Especially the blue dial. I look down at it and it signifies to me personally that I finally got my s$%t together.

I've owned the more sunburst OP 39 Blue and it was for me not the right shade of blue. I owned the flat ceramic Blue Sub and the older TT Blue Sub pre ceramic. Too cold. Too hot.

I owned the TT YM with blue dial. That color and this color of blue on the Air King is juuuuuuust right.

I feel comfortable wearing it. It is super comfortable both physically on my wrist but also spiritually and emotionally maybe mentally if you will on my wrist. I worked with a lot of people and have many friends that would never buy a Rolex. Some because of finances. Some because family comes first. I'm a lifelong bachelor. Some because they would never even think of anything other than maybe a rubber watch.

For me in my evolution this or a SS Sub is what I feel comfortable wearing around them. I know I shouldn't care but I do.

Love the size. The proportions on my wrist. The comfort. I love that it was my first Rolex. Every time I look at it that is what I feel and think.

She is incredibly smile producing. And a bit of a celebrity in my neighborhood. She wants to say hi to everyone.

Congrats, lovely pics, and often much easier to be stuck in all day with your best friend than with your best family.

Congrats! That's a fantastic watch, one of the Rolex models that I think is perfectly executed, along with the similar 36mm OP with the blue 3-6-9 dial and the Explorer 1. There really is nothing like a Rolex blue sunburst dial, so beautiful and mesmerizing.

I love your dog! We also have a little poodle, she's been with us for 12 years now and she's such a joy. Definitely makes quarantine more fun.

This is very well said. My many years of Rolex "collecting" have actually been a quest to find the Rolex that feels that way for me. The comfort needs to be not only physical, but also spiritual and mental as you said. For me, that ended up being the Explorer 1.

Thank you. Explorer I. Yea, that would do me and match my thoughts right deep down too.

I want to say to all the PM wearers out there and on here. I love them. I see one in the wild I go crazy.

But I owned a Rose Gold White Dial Day Date. I found myself covering it up around my friends. That is my problem or feeling.

I bought a WG Daytona. Loved the heft but a little more under the radar. However it was stolen. That was well chronicled here. When the police got it back it was tainted to me. I sold it. Maybe it was not meant to be for me personally.

Love them though.
