I understand what RM is about - the technology of the design goes hand in hand with using the highest quality, light weight materials, akin to F1. They are meant to be an extreme version of a sport watch, hence the high price.
The problem most have here is that you're giving up one hell of a collection to get this one watch. I know others have said, it's your money, do what you want, but the vast majority have said no way. I'd be in the boat of no way, and I like the design and philosophy of the RM very much. It's only worth what someone will pay. The problem is, most people on planet earth have never heard of RM, so the pool of people who will pay for the RM is extremely small. |

Yes, but the value of what you're giving up should match what your getting, no? Then again, the heart wants what the heart wants.....

Think I get it now - totally bored with new Rolex - vintage ones, staying in collection - but parting with all the “hot” new ones and think RMs are in my future - count me amongst the converted I guess... |

I would never, but if you really love it, go for it.
I don't get RM to be honest.

Especially for a middle of the road Mille. Personally I would wear the snot out of the 5960 til it becomes cool. It is ahead of its time.

You’re right. They are an even more ridiculous example of a hype not to buy into. Gosh awful watches.

Why don’t you get a nautilus instead?

I would buy a Franck mueller vanguard before a RM. I personally think it’s a fad and marketing and the watch is impressive but I’d rather have a submariner at under 10k than a RM. it’s not my style.
Your collection is classic. I wouldn’t trade that. |

Mille is all marketing and social media hype and stuff like that. Watch itself is cool but not amazing. It’s cool like a g shock is cool, and at 100k I don’t think I’d take that over a nautilus type cool |

I would personally take the deep sea Rolex u have over any RM, unless I was getting one for free then I would take the RM, sell it, and buy more fun watches to play with

Yes do it. You’ll be in a higher class. Rolex class are on the bottom of luxury. And yes I’m on the bottom class too lol.

For many years I also wondered about RM and why the hype and now I own two and love them. Over time really appreciate the brand. With that said, I am not sure I would part with that many pieces for on RM. However if you have a big collection in addition to what you are trading-- might consider it.
