Is the OEM strap on the 312 the same as 217?

Thanks Tui !! Very nice pics !! Love my 104 but also love the case height and open, inviting dial of the 312

Is the crystal diameter on the 312 larger ?? Looks like it.

yes the crystal is larger and because of the shape on diagonal you can see better the dial, as you can see on pics #9 and 16.

Great comparison shots. Is the 104 a 44mm case? The 312 looks so much larger compared to it that I wouldn't be surprised to hear the 104 is a 40mm case.

the dial of 312 is larger, so the case looks bigger.
when i hold both on my hands the 312 looks much bigger.

Surprising, the 104 and 111 and 112 and 176 et al,are all 44mm,as advertised.

Great pictures Tui, thanks for sharing!

I don't have a 312 yet but will very soon.... the 312 is a beautiful watch the case look fantastic and I love the larger dial, just waiting for my AD to call, but the 104 is a piece of beauty it was my first Pam and will always have a place in my collection, is the one that started my passion for Panerai watches!

Not a HUGE difference?

From the pix, there are subtle differences, but in person, is there a big difference in look? For twice the money, is the 1950's case and movement "worth" the money?

Seems like there would be a bigger, more noticeable difference in case design. But at a glance, it's hard to tell the difference. Can anyone who's seen both in person tell me different?

The differences are obvious. The new 312 case is very nice.I like the case height and the dial configuration, but the 312 case is still not a 127 case.Thats stil one of the nicest case designs from PAM. Love the 127 !!

the 104 is a luminor case 312 1950 case
312 thicker
104 polished 312 brushed
the crown is diferent
the 312 crystal is slightly domed
the crown protector is a little diferent, look at the pics
but most of the people won't notice the diference, but i love the panerai and it's a huge diference to me, if you still looking the panerais you will see that, just wait... it always happen.
