I've seen this before, it was a second hand LV, and it was worse than yours, I declined the purchase. ( it was out of warranty )

I bet everyone who read this thread checked their ceramic bezels for any holes. Myself included

Is there something on the dial between 30/35 or is that just dust?

Leave it. It's a highly rare collector's watch now.

Just when I thought I’ve seen it all here... that is just bizarre.

My thoughts exactly. Glad I caught it before a crack or the unknown could develop. Without a phone and ability to zoom in, I don’t think I ever would’ve spotted it.

I hope Rolex will warranty it. If not, bezel replacement will be in order regardless.

The rehaut alignment never stood out till mentioned in this thread. Ill make sure to being it up before RSC completes the repair.

Does anybody have any other input?

Your alignment of the dial with the rehaut is fine. The "misalignment" is only apparent due to parallax effect, an illusion at some angles due to the picture not being taken directly from above, most-pronounced around the 12 o'clock areas of dial and rehaut. The more angled-off the point of view is, the greater the parallax effect.

The seconds markers (ticks) on the dial should bisect the etched crown and each letter of "R O L E X" on the rehaut. Although it doesn't look like they do near the 12 o'clock area, if you note the rehaut letters at the 7 to 9 o'clock position where the camera-to-watch angle is minimized and "looking" almost straight down, you'll notice that the seconds markers bisect the rehaut letters where they should. Across the dial over from the "O" before the cyclops and to the 4 o'clock plot, the seconds markers also bisect the rehaut letters where they should.

If you take a loupe and look yourself and not trust an imperfect picture, you'll see that all the markers bisect the letters all the way around the dial, including the illusionary, "misaligned" portion seen here.

But do get the holy bezel replaced.

Interesting point on the alignment and angle of the photo, I see exactly what you are describing. Thank you for the info/insight.

I wonder if the previous owner changed the bezel with aftermarket parts

The warranty card was dated 11/11/17, I bought the watch about 4 weeks thereafter. I doubt it was changed.
