Is it safe to repair a prop with a Rolex on?

I don’t recommend it 😂

Yes, but only if only 40ft under water.

If your prop is under 40 feet of water your sunk unless it's a Submarine
I don't think wearing any watch is particularly recommended when wielding a hammer.

Only if you're playing golf and swimming at the same time.

Only if it’s on the shaft & spinning under power… in which case, you’d have other issues to worry about!

Oh man getting hit by I spinning prop is worse then sticking your hand in a blender. Google images has some picks that looks worse than horror movie from people getting hit by moving boat props.

Depends if it’s real or just a prop!

Thank you. I decided to take up prop repair after they lowered my lake for over a year to repair the dam. After a couple of prop strikes in one month I got tired of paying of someone else so I ordered a prop pitchblock. So now all my friends who own boats have me fix theirs too. This was a busy weekend.

That's awesome! How long did it take to learn the skills to do this?

Safe as long as you don’t hit it with the hammer

Takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

Watched quite a few YouTube videos but really just comes down to having equal measurements. All blades should measure the same at the highest point and lowest point. a simple test to see if you’re done is lay the prop face down on a flat surface it should not pivot when you try to shake it. If it passes the table test you’re good to go. Here’s a little video I made a year ago. https://youtu.be/_uVXh9sJt4w
