Woohoo I have a nick name now

I have been called the Sea Dweller Nazi by a couple of ppl today

Honestly I dont mind being branded as the biggest fan of the SD, but I prefer to be called Father SD. I will preach to the non-believers and pass on the good word to everyone I meet

I really love my SD, my DJ and GMT2 are great watches but I feel as if I could drag my SD behind my car from Toronto to LA and it would still be working fine (with such a thick case, most of the metal will probably still be there )

I've never wanted a Sea-Dweller. Hmmm... what's the opposite of a Nazi?

Peter, this is sort of where I found myself, after I bought one. The watch just never smiled at me, it was very nice, but just not for me at all.

To be honest, I never had any love for that watch. Call it a real man or whatever, but it did nothing for me. I still like the YM as it always smiles at me, the GMT since it is vintage and looks great and the Pam which I traded the SD has gotten more love in a few weeks than the SD ever did or would have.

Boooo The SD isnt for everyone (I was just playing with you with the Real Man comment , there are other things about you that makes you a lesser man and not just a watch )

For me I dont even know why I love the watch so much, I just do. I am probably the 1 in 10000000 that still doesnt like the green bezel LV too so I guess I am weird like that LOL

Sorry, Roger, but the SD does absolutely nothing for me. It seems all out of proportion and the lack of a cyclops just makes the date window seem much too small for the overall size of the watch.

So I guess you are in that minority of SD lovers.

P.S. the LV Sub does nothing for me either. There we are in agreement.

And the cyclops is one of the things I love about most Rollies. Vive la difference.

I'm still thinking about getting a cyclops for my Daytona. :-) I can always remove it if my sense of humor fades with age. ;-)

That would be a good idea too, Padi. I get so tired of people gushing over the Daytona, and talking about it like some heaven-sent icon, that I'd like to make a point that it's just a wristwatch -- a piece of property.

Whenever I'm wearing it at a watch store, other customers (male) fawn over it like it's the Holy Grail. I'd like to see their faces when this annointed item has silly, irreverent adornments.

Well I myself don't like the new Daytona, could just about live with the TT.Prefer the
dial on the Zenith movement ver.But a 6263 with the new Daytona movement, that
would make me buy one.

There's really only one Daytona that I would want. That's the new movement meteorite. But Rob won't come down in price on his to make it fall even within the realm of possibility.

Most dials are hard to read in the dark (once the luminova wears off the Sub).
