rolex clasp - authentic?

this clasp came from the box of watch parts i purchd at a watchmaker's estate sale. There were a number of rolex items that were authentic, mainly dive strap extensions and a few others, but a 1665 caseback has been deemed counterfeit, so i figured i'd ask on this clasp. It was in a wax paper envelope, no rolex marking on the envelope

if authentic, is there a chart somewhere where i can identify year etc

With what you know already I’d venture to guess your box is full of fake parts. No reputable watchmaker mixes authentic and fake parts. Sad to think of all the people this guy ripped off over the years

I've never looked in a watchmaker's parts bin for parts where I didn't find something not authentic - and believe it or not, all these watchmakers were very reputable!

Same here. They’re pack rats so they save everything.
