Dd40 black or white face

I’m thinking of finally pulling the trigger this weekend. Just getting some opinions. I really like both but what do members think?
White Roman number or black stick dial?
These are not
The exact watches just some examples? I’m am thinking that maybe the white Roman is a better choice a little classier and Easy to read ??

My vote would be for black with Romans, but for some reason Rolex doesn't offer that dial. I generally prefer black with yellow gold, but I really think that Roman dial design is pretty, so in this case white gets my vote.

I think im subscribed to all the DD40 threads on the forum . With that being said I like both dials. I'd try both on in person. Ive haven't seen the black dial in person yet. Im working on the DD40 being my next purchase as well. Im leaning towards the white because I already have 2 black dial SS Rolex.

Good Luck!

I’ve always loved the look of a white face on the gold DD, but the black face has grown on me overtime. I couldn’t pass up this DD with black face and black leather strap a few years ago. I absolutely love it and get many nice comments on it.

I like Romans on DD40. The dial with batons looks a little too open to me.

I went white. Black is a bit bolder if that's your thing but I found the white to be crisp and clean, also more versatile.

I'd vote white with Romans as it really suits the look of the DD. Classy and easy to read. Good luck in your decision. Cheers!

I went with White Romans. No regrets. I like the black stick dial on on other watches that do not have the day aperture.

When choosing a watch with an all gold case as well as all gold bracelet then Yellow gold and black goes so much better together than any other combination with the exception of blue and I don’t think blue is better then black just equal. Unfortunately Rolex doesn’t offer a yellow gold day date with a blue dial. Check out the Rosegold AP Royal Oak with black or blue dial. Absolutely epic look. Now when using a crocodile strap and a dress watch like the Patek Calatrava or Vacheron Traditionnelle then a white dial with rose gold looks quite elegant.
