Most classic and easily recognized from a distance is the Datejust.

DJ36mm. A classic. I love it on my 7 1/2 wrist. It gets more wrist time than my SS Submariner Date.

With Rolex being such a classic brand in general there could be a case made for many references.

We all win regardless

There's no simple 'classic' Rolex without a date mag. Gotta be a DJ since the Sub Date is a modded Sub.

My SO can pull it off. 36 DJ. Looks great on her. I feel it is too small for me...

What do you guys think?

I would upload some pics but I find this whole reducing the file size long winded, can’t believe we are still doing this is 2020!
Seeing as how it's the Rolex I have "loved" on the Rolex site, yes I love it.

I agree. To me a diver SS or a DJ blue or rhodium dial but then I’ll take any variation as long as it’s 41mm. These models are the most beautiful watches ever.

IMO best simple Rolex are:

OP39 white or black
Exp1
Daytona 116500LN black dial

I think time only is a must for simplicity if that's what you're looking for.

I think DJ41 smooth oyster is very clean and simple and I love mine. It's actually my go to watch when I'm meeting clients.

The Oyster Perpetual line is the watch that built Rolex. Followed closely by the DateJust.
