Help With Model Identification Please

Hi,

My wife's father passed away last year and left his Rolex to her. We have been researching quite a bit and we're having trouble identifying the model.

I've attached a pic of the watch and paperwork, hoping someone here might be familiar with this watch. Thank you for your time.

Rolex Oyster "Zephyr" Perpetual Chronometer 34mm watch in 18k gold and stainless steel with the "Zephyr" milled bezel, refinished cross-hair dial, and later (-Rolex?-) Jubilee style bracelet.

The Chronometer ratings certificate from 1961 shows the model ref. 1008 and case number 666397, and date of sale Feb 1963 from Artland Jewellers in Hong Kong. I had a later one recently with the reference 1038.

It's a very nice looking Rolex dress model.

Thank you!

Good catch on the bracelet Mike, it came with another one that was broken beyond repair. So he may have replaced it with a replica. The crown was falling out, so we sent it to Randy at Specialty Watch Repair. He repaired the crown, polished and serviced it, should be good to go.

Thanks again for the kind words and info.
