Of all the watches I have ever owned and all the watches I have tried to sell, my 1530 was by far the most difficult. Almost NO interest in this watch even with its rarity. I had it listed for $7500 and had to drop it to $5500 for weeks before one Asian buyer purchased it. He was also the ONLY person to inquire.

If you circle back to C24 in 2 months, I will bet all of the 1530's will still be there.
Looks too much like an Oysterquartz and no way of knowing if its a 1530 or not without reading the dial closely or opening the caseback.

Buy it if you like it, but it may be a watch you can never sell..

I think part of that is in the price. I see everyone is asking $8k to $12k now, but all I have seen them sell for is in the $5000 range. Which is were it ended up selling for you as well.

I'm sure he will hang onto it! Especially because of the sentimental value. (Otherwise, I would buy it off him as I'm drawn to Genta's work!). Now to just get it running again. I found a watchmaker to service it so hopefully later this year it will be ticking.
