Rolex oyster pocket watch - need snail for regulator
I have a Rolex Oyster pocket watch from about 1926. I believe the movement is a Montilier 663. The movement is missing the cam/snail for the regulator. Does anyone know a watchmaker who might be able to machine this part? I also have another of these watches that does have the snail (photos below) so the part might be able to be copied from this. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks!

Thats going to be a tough one. Maybe contact Terry up in Oregon. He may actually have the part lying around.

I do not think that movement was used exclusively by Rolex.
You might be able to find a movement that you can salvage parts off of. The problem is identifying the movement. Difficult with Swiss movements, due to the number of makers and lack of documentation. |
