Hodinkee Strap on my 6542

Just got it today. It’s the aged gray leather strap. I like it much better than the brown cordovan strap which was too wide!

Looking good! The old strap was a disaster ;)

I know a guy in Romania who'll make one hell of a strap for that beauty. The Rolex is a black Italian shell cordovan and the other is dark gray stingray with green threading to match bezel.

I chose to wear a 20k watch on a leather NATO if I am going to be active just to get that redundancy in attachment points. When I am on steel or a traditional leather strap I do feel vulnerable as I have twice had vintage steel bracelets part but lucky not to have major damage.

Recommend the same for your GMT - check out RoverHaven straps

I also got a Hodinkee strap for my vintage pepsi, a 16750. But I found the light color gets dirty easily. Went for a darker color afterwards.

[EDIT] Ok, so why don't the pictures show up, I used the IMG tag and the URL tag???

Really like the light color on the wrist - I never would have gone for it without the wrist shot though. I struggle with the GMT on leather for myself, but then I see posts like this and it makes me want to try again.

Trying again to post... My calf leather in tan from Hodinkee on 16750.

Blue leather matching the bezel.
