Saudi Rolex

Hello All,

Delighted to join this forum. I have read a few very informative threads here previously, many more to read.

I was wanting advice on this watch and it's approximate value as I am more interested in diving watches and am saving accordingly.

I bought it in Saudi and it is marked KA. Al SALEM, SAUDI ARABIA on reverse.

I assume it's an early 70's 1603, but I seek your wise opinions.

Sincerely,

Jon MB

Hi There, any more history on the watch, a quick google brought up Aerospace Industries in SAUDI ARABIA, does it come with papers?

It's just a jewelry store quality caseback engraving so no additional value as there would be for a crested dial. It may be a presentation watch but it was done locally and could be easily reproduced or removed if you like.

why dont you remove the bracelet and check the lug yourself?

no discussions of valuation here but you can check ebay sold items for rough sense

good stuff, thats it. Stock comes with engine turned bezel (as opposed to the 1601 which is generally 18K white gold bezel)

Didn't mean to be rude in my prior post but always good to learn about these things on your own - the next Rolex you want to buy, you'll know what to look out for and not to mention increasing your overall Rolex knowledge base.
