Knock- Around Watch

We all know a Rolex is made to wear for any and all occasions but once in awhile I just want to sport a solid, cheap fun watch. You know, like at the beach, on a bike, playing certain sports etc…

What non Rolex watches do you wear for those activities. I'm thinking of picking up a Cascio G-Shock but am open to suggestions.

I think that's what an Explorer is for...but Seiko makes a nice diver lineup that would fit the bill.

I wear my Sub to the beach, etc...if I know things are going to get messy, I grab one of my G-Shocks.

If you want a true "knock around" watch, go G-Shock. Bang mine into stuff all the time and it turns out no worse for wear. You can do that with Rolex too if you don't mind dings/scratches though.

I'm not sure talking about what non-Rolex watches we like fits into Rolex discussion. Maybe continue this over in the open section?

At one time I had a gshock addiction. Believe it or not they have some models that fetch $1k....

In many peoples opinion the best gshock made is the current gwf-1000 frogman.
Or the non atomic gf-1000 frogman. (Def the better deal, u pay a lot for the atomic, japan only model)

You really don't want to see mine. It's been knocked around, lets put it that way.

Simple, lightweight, large, easily read numbers.
60 click bezel, and I can read it at night without pushing a button.

my problem is I end up liking all my watches too much to put them in much danger of dings and scratches, doesn't matter if it's $100,$1000, or $10,000. If it's really something you don't want to care about, definitely the plasticiness of the Gshock is the way to go.

i have this one

I know this is a inexpensive piece and all. But being how kool, rare and inventive this is, I wouldn't beat on it, just yet at least. Awesome watch, can't wait to get one

This is my knock-around watch: titanium quartz VSA Dive Master. Highly recommend it (along with Seikos, of course!).
