Rainy in Chicago

I visited Razny Jewelers in Chicago this past week. The store is Patek and Rolex only, and only new pieces. The young lady helping me couldn’t have been any nicer and more helpful.

They had a very nice selection and everything was displayed beautifully.

I tried on a 5227R. It was beautiful, but the 39mm diameter was a little big for my taste.

It’s a worthwhile stop if you’re in the area.

Cheers,

LS.

I visited the Addison branch of Razny last February, and dealt with Matt and Roberto. Of all the hi-end jewelry stores (Patek AD's) I've visited, I can honestly say that these gentlemen were the best of the best. Incredibly accommodating, polite, patient, and very knowledgeable. If all the AD's were like this one, a lot more of these PP's would be in the public's hands (or on their wrists!!). Kudos to that store.

I dealt with Christine and Sally in Chicago & Highland Park last August asking to purchase a 5712a. After putting down a deposit, I received my watch in Sept. They were great to deal with. As Roovain said so many other AD's were dismissive at best!

I popped in on Thursday. Great selection. Sadly didn’t buy anything but loved the selection and the sales team was on point.

I was in their Chicago store last year and saw a 5712a in the case. Should have jumped on that.

I was at the downtown location a few days before Christmas 2017 and was given the red carpet treatment. The sales associate I dealt with was super sweet and patient and showed me everything to my heart's content. There was a 5980/1R, 5980R, 5980/1AR, 5164R, 5167R, 5711/1R, 5726A sitting in their display case. I also tried on the 5270G, 5905P, 5170G, 5396R ad 5930G as well. She even went to the back and pulled out a brand new double sealed grey dial 5726/1A and offered it for sale to me.

One of the best ADs I've been to in terms of treatment, that's for sure.

Hope one day it goes back to this. Walk into AD and buy any watch you want.

I hope so too. Though I consider it an impossibility. I don't think Patek would ever do what's necessary to get things back to that state. In fact, the new normal is probably better for them as a brand.

:(
