Selling a warranty certificate and bid is up to $1000?? Why would someone pay that for a piece of paper?? Is this even legal??

Legal? Sure.
However, anyone buying papers alone probably has the intent to commit fraud of some sort, IMO. The most likely scenario (to me) would be engraving a fake watch to match the SN on the papers. A Zenith Daytona fetches a pretty penny these days, so spending $1k, to facilitate defrauding someone out of $20k+ is not unthinkable. |

Very low count (24) bidder. May be a shill bidder trying to drive the price up for some chump to come along.
