ladies 7118/011 vs rolex dateday 28 whitegold/diamond

Guys, looking to pick up a sports watch for wife for our 10th.

Looking at the 7118A 011

I find very little discussion on 7118, thoughts?

Alternatively, she doesn't have a rolex yet, the 28mm datejust steel/white gold with diamond looks quite nice for almost 30% cheaper. m279384rbr-0011

Happy to hear your thoughts.

I showed her the lady world time which I thought was awesome. Her only comment was she can't read the time lol....

My wife has a 7018/1A and she loves it. Very light, comfortable and easy to read. Throw in some diamonds and you got a winner...

my wife prefers that one to the one w/o diamonds OP listed. IMO the ladies Nautilus does not look nearly as good with the plain bezel.

She still prefers the previous version in WG and quartz though... without the wavy dial. Me, i probably prefer the 7018/1A.

Have you considered a 3800? Price is about the same, as is the case size, but you get a much more classic looking dial, hand, and marker combo.

3800 size will be nice but not sure where to find NOS.
I pretty much ruled out Rolex. 7018 is quite nice or would going to 7118r directly makes more sense.
Btw, heading to NY this week, does tiffany carries these in stock? 7118/7018 with tiffany dial seemed quite nice.

7118r is also nice - just depends on your wife’s preference and stock availability. I would bring her into the decision for sure - she needs to love it after all.

I don’t like Tiffany dials but others seem to think they’re great and ultimately up to your wife at the end of the day!

Suggest you call the Tiffany 5th ave store now and see what they have in stock. I’d also start calling other ADs as it’s not easy to get exactly what you want all the time. SS pieces are not easy to come by (even ladies) but perhaps Gold is a bit easier.

All the best!

Thanks guys. Nice wrist shot!

like you guys said, 7118 or 7018 were no where to be found! Also difficult to find any wrist shot on the 7118.

I took her around town and saw VC OC small, AP 37mm RO and both too big for her. Glad she start to appreciate PP more (She still thinks the 7118 too much of a guys watch). I put myself in the queue for the 7118 blue without seeing it. Wondering whether 7018 is a better choice. so hard to choose without both side by side!

By the way, I am surprise even the woman sports PP are all gone. What's happening!!!

Drop by at the AD today and they have the 7118 to offer!. But wife can't decide this and the RG Daytona. Maybe I should have just not involve her to begin with lol. She is not sure. Haven't pick up either yet. The 7118 in gold is nice but probably not good for daily (that's the focus)

I think she will like the 7018 if she has one to try on. Easier as a daily watch and is younger

Thanks all. Settle with the 7018 1a 011 Grey dial. Should be here in the next few weeks. Glad she had a chance to look thru everything and found something she really likes and can wear to work everyday.
