Found a deal for Vacheron Constantin second gen white rubber strap on eBay. The seller said it is genuine, bought it new for $250.

Big price difference with black rubber strap, made suspicios that it is not genuine. But bought it anyway. And by the look of it, it is really genuine.

I never know VC make this kind of strap. Do they make a variety of color for their rubber?

Anyway some pics. I think it looks fantastic.

Unless for specific markets like the ME and Asia, then I’d be firmly of the mindset that it’s not a genuine VC rubber strap.
The more I think about it, the more I’m certain it’s fake, as I’m sure we’d have been aware of such a limited edition on the white rubber.

That breaks my heart a bit. But still it is very well made. I Will just think it as an aftetmarket strap. Shame the seller advertise it as OEM.

I have never seen a white rubber strap for the OS. What is the clasp?

If it’s the seller from Turkey, then a usual rule of thumb is to treat what’s known to have been faked with a healthy degree of scepticism.
The only white rubber I found was with the ladies DT Overeseas in RG with diamonds on the bezel. It shares the same 42mm case, which I wasn’t aware of.

Having just seen one site showing a fake DT RG with white rubber (no cut glass on bezel though) it’s still very much up in the air whether yours is the real thing or unfortunately, an expensive fake version – the whole watch was $180!

I imagine it would be easy to ask VC if they make a white strap. You could google it, ask a boutique or AD, etc.

I have asked my AD, they cannot determine it is genuine or not. But the build quality is exactly 100% as my genuine VC black rubber strap.

This is what the eBay posting looks like. The seller has excellent reputation.

For the 3rd generation they do have a white rubber strap. Confirmed by AD. But not sure about the 2nd generation.

Haven't seen it in any picture before yet. I'm waiting for the white chrono band too though my 5500v is in blue.
