New 5270r black face on bracelet
I’m in love with the new release. Will the bracelet on this new model be interchangeable with a leather strap?
Alternatively, will the black face be available on a leather strap or only with the bracelet? |

Don't like that bracelet. Otherwise very nice. Can put your own strap on it if there is not an OEM or the P's one.

Not interchangeable the date month and leap year corrections are done with a stylus and the bracelet is where the adjusting is done. Never seen anything like it but that’s the way it’s done.

Are they not simply saying that to allow adjustment with the bracelet in place that they have had to put special notches in the links to gain access? They haven't moved the correctors from standard so something had to be done. I assume removing the bracelet and replacing with a strap allows clear access as per normal?

There are many photos of 5960 with straps that look perfect and from owners who are very fussy. http://www.watchprosite.com/page-wf....ul-in-tallinn/ |

Back to the topic I just saw on SJX an article about Clapton’s 5970 on bracelet (same bracelet as the new 5270) and the push correctors are not on the bracelet but the case. So this new bracelet may or may not be interchangeable. Clapton’s bracelet looks like it’s scratced pretty bad from the correctors so maybe that’s the reason for the new design.

Look at this thread. This member was the first I know of that tried it on a strap. His pictures are blurry but it doesn’t look right with the strap, especially the straight spring bar end. There is a guy on Puristpro website dr koi I think and he has a strap with curved spring bars and a curved strap so there is no gap. But if you try that on the 5270 you’ll cover the corrector pins. |
