It's a fantastic watch, but never pay over retail.

I wouldnt pay over retail for that piece. It’s a stunning Daytona but overhyped by some celebrities.

From what ADs have been reporting, the waiting list for this reference is only getting longer. Rolex is trickling them out verrryyyy slowly and I could easily see them discontinue it due to phasing out non ceramic bezel variants.

50k might be crazy- and I wouldn’t pay it. But, when it goes away, it will go higher imo.

Pay retail and enjoy the watch for years to come. I agree, this piece will get higher in the grey market especially if it’s discontinued. Beautiful watch too I might add

If you want it but can't get it at retail, and have spare dough, then I say pay overs and enjoy.

We're here for a good time, not a long time.

ADs barely get these but my understanding is that's because the demand was limited to begin with. It's a pretty niche watch, not really "mainstream" for all tastes. My AD went a whole year without anyone asking about one, and of course, the JM video drops and multiple calls come in a day for it. It's clear all the demand is just driven by speculators on this one. On that basis, I'd pass as the speculators will start dumping once the sheep latch on to the next shiny object.

My AD cancelled my order because its "unattainable". Whichever way you go, I m sure you will enjoy it. Good luck

Icon7 I agree, pay retail if possible.

I agree with getting in line with an AD and buying for retail. I also agree with the guy who said watch it go to 90 grand in a few years. An incredibly beautiful watch that really stands out from the rest. Can’t wait until mine arrives from my AD at retail...

Im was offered one at $45k, really debating. I feel like $40k would be reasonable, $42-43k maybe the max I would pay. I'm still thinking about it....

i should be getting mine at retail from my ad in about 2-3 months... its a fantastic watch , and i don't mind seeing the prices on it go over retail but i could never buy over retail myself since its still in production even if its hard to get i could not swallow the extra $$$ grey market is asking for it . retail or bust

Here are my thoughts. Obviously, retail is the better play, but if that's not in the cards, then I would just shop around the classifieds here for your best price.

I think you could beat 50k. Good luck, it is a fantastic watch.

Don’t buy into the hype. It’s a watch, don’t pay over MSRP

Yellow Gold Green Dial Daytona good buy?

I don’t think you should buy. But if you are set on buying watch the following video and move with caution!

(However you are in the U.S. and the video says that warranty cards in the U.S. do specify “Green”. But in the UK they do not specify a dial color. Just 116508.)

If you think it's a good price, then by all means. By that I mean if you think it'll go up more or if its your dream watch and worth every penny to have it immediately

It is a gorgeous watch. It won't be too difficult to get from an AD, assume your AD knows you.
