Does anyone know if this operates the same as the VC one? is there a way to accidentally pop it out or does it lock like the rolex microadjustments? I found the VC microadjustment extremely annoying

Hopefully 2023 models may get an upgrade. I am eagerly waiting for my 5740 after 3 years of wait. |

Would 50m60m be fine with a Snap back and push in crown? Probably? Would 120m be super secure safe and confidence inspiring with a screw in case back and a screw down crown? You bet. For my money I feel more comfortable with the latter. Daily showers and pool and ocean. it is important that WR question doesn’t compel me to have leave watch in the hotel room … ever! It’s like trying to figure out the price of drugs through my prescription benefits manager. Clear as mud

As I understand it a swimmers flailing arm swings whallop the water and this short burst of pressure can equal or exceed the 60m pressure measure… caution is required! It’s not really about depth which is an arbitrary/indicative measure.

In short, the dynamic pressure from swimming is much, much lower than the static pressure at 60m. I did the math in my head a few months ago, see post #13 of the thread below, and Will_L has detailed the required formulas in #14. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=881061 |

However, I would not risk it though as the slap slap pressure from my amateur crawl stroke would terrify me as to even the slightest possibility of water ingress. Better safe than sorry… etc. |

A thought suddenly occurred to me... the 16202or is selling for about 15% higher than the 5811. Suddenly the 5811 feels such a "bargain" at retail.

I have always been a fan of the 5811G. I plan on getting one soon.

Fair point. Factoring in that 5711/1A retail was in the 20s a few years ago 5811/1G feels less of a bargain. I get the 1G but don't mind 1A in the least. |
