Actually, now that I look closely, 3 out of 5 submariner second hands look squirrelly? Could it be some photography artifact?

You're right - perhaps it is a function of the watch running as the picture is taken?
Still looks odd It is also on a bunch of their other watches... Perhaps these are those "nanosecond" Rolexes we've been hearing about?
