Anything's possible, but I wouldn't buy it unless in person and full authenticity was verified at AD.

Lots of possibilities including fake, stolen, or pictures aren't his.

If you want it, just get him to meet you at an AD, but don't give any money up front!

Thanks for the tip. BUYSAFE?

I told the guy to meet me at an AD but he said that he was out of town and that he would like to go through buysafe.com. This way I would get the watch for 10 days and be able to take it to an AD and get it verified. anyone ever deal with buysafe.com?

Sounds iffy. I personally wont do that but then again I have never heard of buysafe.com I found lots of those cheap deals, but I went ahead and purchased a watch from Sphereman and we did the exchange in person. That's probably the safest way to do it.

If he is out of town how are you going to get the watch?

Its a scam. Sorry, but it just isn't right.

Dont do it! say you will wait until he gets back. I have heard so many horror stories with people using third party payment methods- please dont use any online payment method unless you know it!! By that i mean i would use paypal only, they have there fees for a reason i suppose. Also do not use western union if he asks or escrow

buysafe

The seller is saying that he will use the service , buysafe, to ship it to me. After I pay buysafe, I have 10 days to inspect it and if all is ok, they (buysafe), will give him the payment.

It will probably a bogus site and he can cash your money out straight away. There are some many of these sites set up by scammers. It is honestly up to you but i read these stories all the time. Ask to meet him when he gest back and see what he says

Craigs list is set up to meet people in the same town. I've answered a few advertisements where the price looked a little too good to be true. Lo and behold each time they just so happened to be out of town. But we could go through some type of service so we could both feel safe... Too many people trying to steal from others. It's a shame!
