Hello all,

I have just purchased GMT-Master II 116710LN recently from an AD, I like the watch so far, especially from its look. However, I noticed that I could not set the time at 11:45 PM without changing the date and GMT hand. First, I set the GMT hand and minute hand, then I tried to set the hour hand at 11:45 PM but I noticed that the date would change instantly. I have brought it to the RSC but I still find the same issue now after leaving the watch for about two weeks.

Has anyone found the same issue with the date change? Thanks a lot in advance!

Cheers

with a new bracelet again

I didn't get accustomed to the original bracelet.
First I tried a Rubber B model, a complete waste of money. After just a couple of months both! loops fell apart. Without them the tang buckle was unusable. So I wrote to Rubber B and nicely asked them to get me replacements.
Their answer was: "20 USD + 30 USD to send to Norway". After that their product ended up in the garbage. Looked quite worn too.
For a while I have tried a Hirsch Ayrton in blue now. I combined it with custom band strap end links and voila...
So far I am very pleased with the comfort, fit, haptics and the look.

I just got the LN but I'm feeling should I have gone for the BLNR instead? The LN was at a good price whereas the BLNR is at its usual overpriced above retail rate. Can someone assure me the LN is the more serious and professional choice compared to the more playful and "loud" BLNR? I work in a professional business environment. I thought the BLNR may be a bit attention seeking in a meeting environment perhaps whereas the LN will be more understated and elegant. In a cocktail party though the reverse maybe true. Anyone feels which is right for me?

How would we know what's right for you? You should buy what you like. That said, I don't see a reason to be ashamed of the LN.

Sure. I never said about being ashamed. I would own both if I could. But budget and reality means I have to consider practicality.

Dude,
The LN is Awesome, sit down, pour yourself a glass of good scotch/bourbon (or your favourite beverage) and just sit and look at it. its just an amazing model.
ENJOY and CONGRATS.

One's enjoyment of one's own watch need not have anything to do with criticism of anther watch.

I prefer LN because the green hand is great and actually don’t like the blue in the batman. I however do like the pepsi too.

I've owned both the LN and BLNR. Much prefer the LN! I love the green 24hr hand and text...

I’m a BLRO guy myself, but between the LN and BLNR I’d go with the classic LN every time.
