Had to text my guy asking about this. Same person who mentioned the discontinuation of the sdk4.

Response: "not outside the realm of possibility on another note whereas I would have said no a few months ago, there is reason to believe that the ss coke is a go."

I know, I know ... Your parrots dad's mothers boss said ... blah blah blah. But when everyone else was saying DaytonaC available late in the year, he said he could have me one before the weather was warm and I had it May 2016 (on record) and he said right after Thanksgiving 2016 that the s2k4 was discontinued and it was (on record).

I won't put money on it, but sometimes these things add up.

BLRO is reportedly discontinued as of today!

Maybe they will release a new version with red and blue ceramic instead of raspberry and that odd almost purple that many people didn’t like.

Edit: you meant a SS Pepsi I believe. So yes, probably 10 years and gray market will be $15,000 for years. Like SS Daytona.

Yes I did mean SS and your reply relating to SS Daytona is exactly what I was aiming for

If rumours turn out to be true, my 2 cents tell me price of BLRO will start running steep up! Now is the moment to buy. Will be calling my AD today. Life cycle is one of the shortest. If i am not wrong just 4 years!

If it's discontinued in just 4 years then there is a reason for that. Not too popular.

I'm getting out in the weeds here, but if Rolex does introduce a Coke this year, and assuming it's in the existing design, that would indicate Rolex has no intention of changing the GMT design any time soon. What would that say about its design plans for the Submariner? The maxi case started with the GMT, and predates the Submariner. Would Rolex invert the order, and redesign the Sub, leaving the GMT as the maxi case granddaddy? Or might all the redesign rumors be off the mark, and the maxi case has some life left in it?

I would bet its a WG coke if anything. BLNR is the colored version in the SS range and is a hot watch. With nothing in the WG space if the BLRO is gone thats where i am placing my bet.

You're probably correct; but the longer time goes without another pepsi being released, secondhand wg prices might hold steady for a while, maybe even climb a smidge; but if (big if) a pepsi ss does ever get released I think the opposite will happen.

I wouldn't be surprised, even though it is one of my favorites, I can't imagine it being a big seller. I would have to think they would have to have some version of a Pepsi available, I wonder if they could bring it back in SS. Although half of me thinks they will just release a new BLRO with a brighter red bezel still in WG and some other minor tweaks.

If this is true, I wonder if the next potential SS GMT would roll out this year or next. If this year, my money would be in Coke as it would be odd to remove Pepsi in one metal to immediately release in another. Either way, interesting news to come I’m sure.

I don't see the point to discontinue the WG BLRO if it is to replace it by WG Coke. If the BLRO is a slow seller it's because of its price. Not the bezel color.

Put it in SS and it will sell like hot cakes.

SS coke with thinner lugs and they have my money!

This is the question. It's a few years now since the BLRO's release and they might be able to make the two primary colour insert now with no leakage. Otherwise no need to disco the WG, just add a Coke SS too if they have one ready. Coke in WG is a risk again as sales will probably be similar to BLRO.

Its sad on one level and makes sense on a another. Those who had/have the kind of disposable income to buy it have bought it. The rest of us look at it like its nice but I can get an over-inflated priced pre-ceramic pepsi for a third of the price and flip it for near the same money if I get bored.

Its a cool watch but its been in about every case of every AD I have walked in lately.

But it probably has better production yields (lower failure/rejection rate), as apparently it is much easier to mix one colour with the black ceramic bezel as opposed to two different non-black colours.
