AP 15400 White - Hard to get?

I’m interested in a 15400 white/ silver. Are they hard to find at AD’s? I was quoted over a year from the AD I deal with.
They are available at the boutique, but would prefer not to pay boutique pricing

Not really. A year wait is excessive even with AP cutting inventory to a lot of AD's. Call around and you should be able to find one within 6 months.

It's been "harder" than the previous years but still possible to find in an acceptable amount of time. However, you will also notice the pricing will be slightly higher and firmer than before that's for sure.

AP prefers you do. AD's are not getting many because of this. In the past they could make up for discounting by selling in larger volume, they can't do this anymore with stock being restricted to them. IMO its a good thing as it helps with value retention. If you get discounts then the resale isnt as strong as someone can always get a better discount than you.

MSRP is becoming the trend and im ok with it. The fact they are fairly available at MSRP at a boutique is better than some models from AP or other brands where you will be paying significantly over retail to get one or waiting really a long time.

I called 7 ADs in my search, mid January. One gave me a discount that was below (slightly) what Govberg was going to sell me a used one for, so I went with that AD. It was a 4 week wait. Some ADs that I called had already sold their Q1 allocation, so the wait was going to be a couple of Months. In the end it took 5 weeks and I took delivery yesterday - worth the wait! Good luck.
