Please could the forum feedback on their thoughts of The stainless steel Skydweller and is it a sound purchase and a classic watch? I am looking to cash in for my Airking 116900 and Milgauss Black Dial .

Absolutely love the SS SkyD and highly recommend! In fact I would say that it’s probably the most watch for the money out of any out there.

Also only a good purchase if you want and like the watch!

It's huge and for me was very uncomfortable on transatlantic flights. I would pass.

i would try one on. it is on the thicker side. does not bother me but may bother you.

expect to come out of pocket 5k or so if you sell those two watches. 6k if you trade them in.

My fav Rolex thus far and I had quite a bunch. Tiny 6.5” wrist but comfortable once sized properly. 2 links removed, micro adjustment at max and easy-link open.

I've looked at the watch and it's too big for me and I haver a flat 7" wrist. I also found it hard to read without my reading glasses, but I'm an old guy.

As others have said, try it on and see if it appeals to you.

It's a great looking watch, a colleague of mine just got one.

The only thing I'd note is that given it's size and weight, it may not be as comfortable for someone with smaller wrists (this was my colleague's complaint).

You'll also be well short value-wise trading in the AK and Milgauss.

Try one on first before deciding. It's a piece with serious wrist presence and an interesting/useful complication. Unfortunately it's simply too big for myself so I had to pass.

I love mine and it doesn't feel uncomfortable to me, I travel a lot and spend long hours on planes and in cars. The best advice is to try one on if you can find one in stock.

As mentioned in another comments I think it is one of the best watches for the price. Have a pic of mine to help you decide

Folks are still paying a premium on the secondary market as dealers don’t have many in stock.

It’s not my cup of tea, but I do like some of the features.

It's definitely one of the hotter watches out there. And for good reason...it's a lot of bang for the buck, IMO.

I'm sort of on the fence about it, really. But that's really more about the state of my collection than the watch.

For you, I would recommend trying it on and seeing for yourself. If you do decide to go for it, I would also recommend just flipping (or selling) one of your watches, if you can possibly swing it.

I am personally more inclined to get a DJ 41 in blue because I don’t need all of the Skydweller functions. That said, if one appeared at my AD at list in blue or white, I’d probably walk out with it! I’d probably keep the two you have and save for the Skydweller; by the time you save up your AD will probably have one!

You could argue it is Rolex flagship watch. Their most complicated movement. A lot of good stuff going on for the cost.. I really like them, but they do not wear well on my wrist. Just does not sit good. Wish it fit me better, would love to own one.

I passed when I had the opportunity to buy one for MSRP. Too big on my wrist, and it felt underwhelming to me in person. In my opinion, it looked much better in photos.

I tried it on, too bulky, bold, and heavy for me. Looks like a pumped up date-just. Nice looking watch. Moved on.

At MSRP it is a lot of watch for the money. The complication is absolutely ingenious and easy to use. But for me, the size and thickness (i.e. the practical) were simply too much to overcome my academic love for the watch.
