Wear & tear - everest leather straps

Does anyone have any pictures or experiences of how the everest leather straps handle wear and tear after a few months? i.e. if it does get scratched / dinged (and it WILL), how quickly and easily does the underlying "soft" leather appear when the top coat (lacquer??) is scratched or removed? If the underlying "soft" part of the leather is a completely different color, that makes the scratch more obvious.

Not expecting this strap to be impervious to dings, but hoping it'll hold up better than my current $20 leather strap....consider this my research prior to spending >$200 for an accessory.

If it matters to anyone, looking at getting the curved-end leather strap w/ tang buckle in the tan color.

I have the black with red sticking "race strap" for my Daytona. I actually haven't worn it a ton, but so far so good. It's held up really well.

I've had several other everest products and have always been extremely impressed with the quality.
