Icon10 So who will be ringing up AD for a TT deepsea in Bw2020?

Are we expecting a TT deepsea blue soon?

I hope not!

This year's TT Sea Dweller is a big miss imho....I don't a think a deep sea version would change that view point.

People, please refrain from even looking at the TT Sea-Dweller. Soon enough, Rolex would pull it like they did with the SD4000 if nobody buys it.

I really think Rolex will still sell loads of it, we are just a minority there's people out there that the AD love and think I can sell any dog watch to them... I don't think it will be massively popular but there's people out there who will just buy.... Blindly. Thoughts?

Platinum, purple bezel please. They got enough practice on the GMT bezel they have to have nailed it by now.

I don't think that's happening yet. DSSD is still a tool watch. When they add a cyclops and make it thinner, then wait for TT.

I agree, not a fan of TT in general and definitely not on the SD43. But Rolex must have some market research saying people will buy them, otherwise they wouldn't make them. That said, this research may not work out in the real world...

I like it a lot to be honest. If it wasn’t $16K, I would be on a list for it.

I love it. Pages and pages of hate, and then a few months later the incomings begin. Awesome.

We certainly see this every year. What’s more funny is no one will buy the TT SD and it will get discontinued and then a mad rush to buy one as a collector piece.

You are totally correct. I have not collected Rolex for as long as most of you but I remember the hate and anger when the SD43 came out. "Too big, cyclops is horrible, rolex is stupid, rolex screwed up, 40mm only, what did rolex do?"

Well I'll tell you what Rolex did. They made money! Lots of Money. They improved the sales and success of the Sea-Dweller. They will make more money, lots more money by adding a little gold and jacking up the price $5,000.

I get 'tool watch' if a customer is actually buying it as a tool watch. 99.9% of these will never touch salt water or be dived with. Tool watch market is 0.1% of their sales. Rolex cannot only pander to the 0.1%. The other 99.9% is an idea, a name, a legacy backed by luxurious quality and reliability. They make just enough to drive people crazy with desire for something they don't need. Brilliant! The "Rolex is stupid" comments really drive me nuts. Sorry for the rant.

A WG or Platinum DSSD. Damn that would be one serious wrist weight !! As a product offering, it would be interesting to see them roll it out.

The TT SD makes about the same amount of sense as a TT sub. Those seem to be selling just fine...
