Omega Seamaster - Weird Time Setting Direction
Hello!
I’m new to Omega watches so I’m not sure if this is something that the Seamaster does, but I recently bought a 212.30.41.20.03.001 and when I tried setting the time, I noticed that to make time move forward, I have to rotate the crown counter clockwise (toward me). Usually it’s clockwise to move time forward on my Rolex Explorer and Seiko watches. Is this normal for Omega Seamaster of this model, or did I bought a defective watch? My purchase came with the full package: original boxes and papers. Warranty card’s serial number matched exactly to the watch, so I doubt it’s a fake. Please let me know what you think about this. I find it really odd to move time forward by rotating CCW. Thank you for your time. |

I think that is right for this model of Seamaster. Rotating the crown towards you will advance the time forward when setting the time.
Here is a video review with the same model. Check the crown action and time adjustment at around 2.30 time point on the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtplmoeYf2o Congrats on your SMP, that's a great choice! |

TimeAZ: Thank you very much! The video really helped cleared things up. I’m really enjoying the Seamaster so far. :)
