New Bond SMP

It’s very “Bondy” with the opening credit gun barrel looking thing.

I have it in email, but can’t figure out how to post.

Anyone else see it? I’ll reserve opinion until I see it. But so far, I’m not into it. At all. Which is probably good.

the design is objectively nice but the reason behind the LE is really pushing it IMO. I love Omega, but stuff like this really detracts from the brand image.

I don’t disagree.

It’s too much.

Love some of them. But certainly not most.

This particular watch is not for me, so far.

I really like it. It’ll be difficult to choose between this and the regular black smp

I do admit to really liking the gun barrel dial. I think that alone would’ve been enough

I like the gun barrel riffling on the dial, but the "coat of arms" thing at 12 o'clock doesn't work for my eyes.

Its OK.

I like the date wheel font, hands and secret 50 but the dial is too much.

For an in thread visual...

I don't like it, I think it is a little too much with the custom marker at 12 and the spiral wave.

only Omega can do this

" With only 7,007 models available worldwide"

7007 is nowhere near limited edition ! seriously people!

Why make a special LE of a movie that 90% of the population doesn't even know it's a bond movie with an actor who played Bond once? Now if this were the basis for the upcoming Bond movie, it'd be a different story.

I can't understand why the gold hands? A little too much in my opinion

Didn't George Lazenby wear a Rolex pre Daytona in that film?

It's a 50th anniversary edition, hence the gold. But I agree that it doesn't quite suit the watch.

I don’t mind the gold, but I’d buy the regular 2 tone on rubber personally.

It isn’t as bad as the America’s Cup one from a couple of years ago but it’s overdone. They’ll sell them all eventually. There are lots of Bond lovers out there

My boutique called me saying it was in.

My wife just so happened to be in the mall. So I got a real life picture.

Here you go for comparison. I love my SMP. This is nice. But certainly not worth changing. And if I had to choose today, I’d still choose the original. But it’s better than I first thought.

I love it! Makes me laugh. It's all good fun this Bond stuff.
The "exact 9mm" to match the gun calibre at the centre of the spiral is cool.
I won't be buying one though as LEs are always way to overpriced.

I liked the look of the watch in press pictures, but the side by side picture posted in this thread changed my mind. A bit too much going on for me.

I think it’s waaaay too much. Also I’m sick of 6000+ watches considered LE.

I think this is a homerun. PP7 aperture dial and 007 font date wheel and gold accents. Just wow.

Anyone else find it interesting there's always a LE bond watch with every film...but then there's new watches that Daniel Craig actually wears in the film...and they're not the LE model?

I'm still intrigued with the photo with the possible mesh bracelet from earlier this year.

Thanks for the picture. I am going to go to my OB after work to take a look. I like it, but I have the Sedna TT on rubber so it's not nice enough for me to have two that are so similar. And I love the TT so the Bond definitely won't replace it.

50th anniversary of OHMSS seems unusually, selectively specific.

Pretty soon they'll have a 50th birthday LE of the nephew of the key grip that worked on Live And Let Die.
